With October being Breast Cancer Awareness month, WAFB has teamed up with Baton Rouge General Hospital to help save lives. It's extremely important for us. More people die of breast cancer in Louisiana than any other state. We believe we can change that.
And, we can do it with something as simple as a text message. There is a link on the WAFB website called 'Tag You're It.' When you sign up, you will get a monthly text message reminding you to do a self examination or reminding you to remind your friends. You can also get a yearly reminder to see your doctor. It's a simple step that can save lives.
