BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -
The Salvation Army usually comes to the aide of fire victims; helping families back on their feet with household items. But they tell us they're starting to fall on hard times after helping 16 families back on their feet these past few months.
"The demand has been so high that we really need a re-stock in. And if anyone is waiting to do spring cleaning, the weather's warming up. Please do it now, so we can utilize those resources and help the needy," said Major Stephen Long with the Salvation Army.
Major Long says their warehouse is in desperate need of mattresses, bedding and any other furniture or clothing.
