PRIDE, LA (WAFB) -
An 18-year-old woman was killed in a single-car crash early Monday morning.
Troopers said Angela Robinson of Clinton died after going off the road and hitting a tree.
The crash happened on LA 37 (Greenwell Springs Road) near LA 409 (Liberty Road), south of Pride, around 2 a.m.
Investigators said Robinson was driving a 2006 Suzuki Reno north on LA 37 when she lost control and veered off the road.
They reported the car went through the ditch and slammed into a tree.
Robinson was pronounced dead at the scene by the East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner's Office.
Troopers added she was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the wreck.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
